The Dark Hunter and The Followers [ Part 3 ]
I have officially been crown the leader of my own crew, it has been a long way and journey but I'm proud to finally announce my leadership. We have located our location in one of the high mountains that we call "Castle Rock", It's a great way to be safe against any beasts and annoying brats.
We have accidentally killed a member of our team, no fear, It was an accident and we mistook him for the beast, I have a small burden inside my chest but it shall soon go away. Obnoxious kids really grind my gears, mainly one of the island named Piggy. Simon has committed to get rid of Piggy, once he told me his first plan I was quite frightened and it felt a bit dark and devilish, even for a person like me. Once Simon tossed the boulder and rapidly squashed Piggy, I was glad that only a few left and I will officially rule my own island. The only people left are Ralph and the twins, quickly the twins turned to our team, which is great! The more members the better! However, Ralph shall not be welcome! We must get rid of this obnoxious kid! Watch this scared child run through the forest as we persistently chase him! You can see how scared and frightened he is! He is full of FEAR. He's running like a scared pig! We must cut his blood and spill his blood!

The Dark Hunter Rises [ Part 2 ]
Quite some time has past since my last post, me and my boys have been very occupied hunting. I painted my face in the meanwhile, I feel stronger, I feel more powerful,my intimidation towards others grows as we speak, some may say it was for camouflage while others may claim that it was because my personality was changing, the way I do stuff was of course changing, people will begin to follow my rules! regardless I'm still the strongest and most powerful on the island, speaking of the island, Ralph keeps blaming every single thing on me, it's really starting to get me pissed, however good news is that we caught our first pig! We slayed it into pieces! We cut his throat and spilled his blood! It was amazing you should of seen the amount of blood spilling from this stupid pig!.. Speaking of stupid pigs, reminds me of piggy, who began to make fun of me! How dare he?!, Let me remind him who is the powerful one here! I slapped him across the face! I hope now he understands who is the person with the most power. I wish he would just disappear or die!

The Dark Hunt Begins [ Part 1 ]
Welcome fellow young hunters, my name is Jack Merridew and unfortunately our plane has crashed in a forsaken island. This is terrifying, yet more terrifying once I have discovered I'm trapped with a bunch of idiotic stupid children. The chief of the island has been set, it frustrates me to tell you It is not me. It has been set that Ralph shall be chief, DUMB RALPH!. I do not agree in the slightest, they might as well let a 7 year old command the survival of an entire group. Simon, Ralph and I have set off to explore the island furthermore. My fetish towards hunting grows stronger each day, I love hunting! once I found out they were pigs on this island, it was like Christmas came early to me. Later on, Ralph the idiot kept insisting that we light a fire and we build shelter, it annoys me because even a baby would know that the most important thing to survival is food, hunting and staying alive. As we speak, I almost captured a pig, it was great! I will keep attempting until I cut a pig's throat open and spill his blood as I award myself the greatest hunter trophy by slaying this pig into a million pieces!. Ralph keeps insisting that we keep the fire lighted and we build shelter, I have better things to do, like a pig to catch, until then see ya later hunters!

The song mentioned here signifies death and the need to survive, As you continue to listen to this song you can see a man struggling against his decisions, and his needs to rise to power. This song portraits Jack perfectly as throughout the story, he continues to rise to power and slowly turn his passion to glory, meaning he turned his ability to kill into a survive method to keep his team mates alive. "Rising up, straight to the top.. Had the guts, got the glory" is mentioned in the song and as comparison to Jack, he was one of the few who had the guts to commit such malicious deeds in the story. This song also symbolizes Jack's will to survive, after all he is simply just a human.

The meaning of this song is quite difficult to understand, once you get past the message written that the media blames everything on other people, it discovers another meaning of the song that can be related to Jack in Lord of The Flies. The meaning that connects with Jack is his gut and once again his rise to power however, it also explains how Jack at first was also afraid but later on throughout realized he is the leader of his own world, and he has the "Guts over fear".
"An angry man's power will shut you up", indicates Jack's ability to use fear to rise to leadership, also another quote that can be related to Jack is "Haters started to appreciate my art" , connecting to subliminal message that at first the children at the island were afraid of Jack and didn't approve of his way of ruling the island, but later on turned to the other side and supported Jack and themselves became monsters.

This beautiful soundtrack composed by the legendary Hans Zimmer, tells the story of a dark knight who rised to power through cruel ways. However, the question of "Why chose a song without lyrics? Although this is considered a soundtrack and not a song, I chose this masterpiece because It's a perfectly matching soundtrack that fits perfectly once Jack, in this case "The Dark Knight" reaches full power , but the plot twist is that the media believes that the leader is believed to be an act of evil, and shall no receive such title. In the novel Jack was eventually crowned the chief, but many believe that his ways of cruelty and intimidation are not acceptable, and that a true leader must rise without hurting another individual. This can be seen as Jack takes on a devilish personality but, beyond the story, is he doing this to run a successful community or for his own personal needs?

This song demonstrates the behavior of Jack and Ralph gets progressively intense and shows the theme of insanity, It's also quite ironic how the title of the song is "Welcome to the jungle" as compared to the story of Lord of the flies which are boys on stranded on the island and Jack "Welcomes them to his island". This song takes on Jack's personality and behavior to the extreme as throughout the novel can be seen doing things that can be logically considered insane, as his addiction towards hunting progressively gets worse and worse as long with his actions. The song itself represents craziness written all over and relates quite well to Jack.
